Balaton
Due to the most popular cycling destination in Hungary is Lake Balaton and its surroundings some of our trains run with increased bycicle transport capacity all year round, so passengers can plan a cycling trip to Hungary's largest lake in any season.
Bicycle transport carriages or carriages with bicycle compartments are available in trains marked with Ő, Õ, Ʊ , or Ʋ pictograms in the timetable. The letter "R" indicates that a bicycle space reservation is obligatory. In the off-season purchasing bicycle space reservation is necessary only on InterCity trains, and all trains to Balaton in the high-season period.
2-2 bicycles can be carried in the vestibules of the first and last second class carriages on trains not marked with the above pictograms.
